On Monday, shareholders of Bedrocan approved the proposed takeover by Tweed, with the deal expected to be closed by this Friday. On September 17, Tweed will hold its annual shareholder meeting and vote to approve of the name change to Canopy Growth Corp.
“The resounding approval of our shareholders strongly validates our strategy of combining the complementary strengths of Tweed and Bedrocan, to create the clear market leader in Canadian cannabis,” said Bedrocan CEO Marc Wayne.
