Aurora Cannabis launches new app

Need to know when your weed might arrive or what the latest news in LP-grown pot is? There’s an app for that.

Aurora Cannabis Inc. has released an updated version of its mobile app that enables the medical cannabis company to communicate with clients via push notifications for new product releases, send automated text reminders for upcoming account renewals, and introduces the new “Aurora Newsfeed” where users can scroll through images, view product descriptions and prescription details. Customers can also place orders via their phone or tablet device and use Canada Post or Purolator Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to track shipments.

“Everything we do at Aurora is aimed at delivering a strongly differentiated and superior user experience to registered patients, including our e-commerce capabilities and digital interactions,” said CEO Terry Booth in a press release. “Continued innovation is part of our company DNA. It has proven an important contributor to our brand strength, and is clearly resonating well with our growing base of patients and supporters.”

The newest version of the app is available for Apple and Android devices, and can be downloaded at www.auroramj.com/app.
