Bass Coast Music Festival has been postponed until 2021

Another major Canadian music festival is forced to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The independent music festival Bass Coast, officially announced they will not return in 2020. The EDM festival was set to take place on July 10th to 13th, 2020 in Merrit, British Columbia, but will now be postponed until July 2021. 

Organizers made the announcement on Twitter and their website.

This comes months after announcing their 2020 theme, “Future Deco” along with the first wave of their lineup which included The Librarian, Justin MartinThe Funk Hunters, Claude VonStroke, and more.

Bass Coast has always had a no refund policy, however, we understand that these are extenuating circumstances,” explained Graham.

“We will be refunding all-volunteer deposits, vehicle passes, reserved campsites, bell tents, cabins, and pre-ordered T-shirts.”

Co-founder Liz Thomson stated, “These are challenging and uncertain times for everyone and our hearts go out to those most affected. We will miss our community dearly this summer and look forward to reuniting on the dance floor in 2021.”
