MJ Freeway still in damage control after system crash

Software company MJ Freeway continues to suffer the effects a Jan. 8 cyber attack that impacted a huge swath of the U.S. cannabis industry.

An estimated 1,000 dispensaries and recreational pot shops relied on use its business management software to process and record sales transactions, track inventory, keep in line with various state regulations and other tasks.

Their website remained inoperable when this story was posted.

MJ Freeway’s director of marketing Jeanette Ward told Marijuana Business Daily yesterday that the company has only seen a “minimal” loss of customers.

“Obviously, we have very upset clients,” she said, “but we also have clients who have been very patient and understanding.”

But not everyone is buying it.
