Ottawa’s cannabis legalization task force will deliver their report this Wednesday, November 30th, to the federal Liberal cabinet.
The task force head, Anne McLellan, said the report will be made public “in due course.”
According to McLellan, the report will include advice on keeping cannabis out of the hands of minors and will recommend a minimum age.
The report will also address cannabis labeling, marketing, and warnings, with McLellan indicating that the regime may be similar to Canada’s tobacco regulations.
Special attention will be paid to the issue of drug-impaired driving, she added.
The report is also expected to address where and how cannabis will be produced and sold.
