A fundraiser for the legal team behind the Allard case doubled as a celebration when it was announced that patients and growers had the right to their own cannabis production.
Jenn Bennett’s One Love For Patients event in March saw support from the community that resulted in a total of $13,854 given to lawyer John Conroy.
“It felt good, because there felt like there was more of a purpose for the party and the patients really needed to hear that,” Bennett said. “It was just a festive event, everyone was really happy.”
