Mark Hauk will open his cannabis dispensary in downtown Saskatoon today (Friday August 14) because he says many people need the drug for medical purposes and trying to legally access the medicine through Health Canada’s program is “incredibly restrictive”. Hauk said that in Saskatchewan, people aren’t able to access their medicine in a “dignified manner”.

Hauk says he has been told by police that if he opens up the dispensary, he will be arrested and the business will cease. Hauk says he understands the risks, but says a dispensary is required for people who need the medicine. The location is 210 2nd Avenue North.
