Here are several ways you can take care of yourself and relieve the pain you are experiencing. 

Medication

There are a lot of anti-inflammatory drugs available over-the-counter like aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. These are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) that help relieve pain and ease inflammation. Reducing the burning sensation is important in some parts of your body and to avoid arthritis and other small injuries. 

Massage

Gently massaging your shoulder will help ease the pain and tightness in the surrounding muscles, which also improves blood circulation and reduces swelling in the process. Take a rest from the activity that may have caused you the shoulder pain. It is also best to improve your movements and posture to avoid problems. It is important to move the shoulder gently that will help the muscles on the shoulder strong and flexible. 

Some of the most common pain athletes or a normal person experience is shoulder pain due to lack of proper posture and wanting too much. Make sure you always exercise before doing any activities. Do not be impatient, resting is good and not a sign of weakness. When your body is free from any tightness and pain you will be on top of your game.
