Two More Proposed Licensed Dispensaries Listed by City

The City of Vancouver has listed the final two locations out of an initial 11 dispensaries approved by officials to advance in their business license application process.

The new applicants include the Stressed and Depressed Association located at 1353 East 41st Street and EVO MEDI Society at 1501 Commercial Drive.

Stressed and Depressed Manager Chad Rowsell wrote that the business had been in operation since March of 2015 and the business hopes to be a long-term member of the community.

We offer our services to members who have a medical need as confirmed by their healthcare provider or if they have seen our in-house Naturopath,” Rowsell wrote in an operational letter to the city. “We educate our members on the various methods of medicating with cannabis safely and helping them choose which strains will be right for them.”

The EVO MEDI Society location has proposed a 2,782 square foot facility on the busy Commercial Drive, across the road from a BC government liquor store.

These proposed dispensaries, along with the other nine applications, are not final and can still be rejected by the city’s director of planning.
