Bud and Breakfast: The Cannabis Friendly Version of AirBnB

For most stoners, the thought of travelling brings up certain questions that non-users never have to worry about- like “How easy is it to get bud?” and “What would happen if I get caught?”- and the answers can vary widely depending on where you’re travelling.

But one of the other biggest questions is accommodation because the majority of hotels, rentals, and AirBnb’s have strict non-smoking policies- for both tobacco and cannabis.

So where’s a stoner to go?

Bud and Breakfast is your best bet for breakfast, bud, and budding adventures. With its “cannabis-friendly lodging”, it gives you options that otherwise wouldn’t exist (or would be much harder to find).

Billing itself as “the largest collection of marijuana-friendly hotels and other cannabis-friendly rentals anywhere on the web”, Bud and Breakfast is still growing though, and its list of properties are nowhere near as extensive and global as AirBnb, but Bud and Breakfast has accommodations across the US with spots in Jamaica, Mexico, Spain, Uruguay, and Canada (mostly Vancouver).

As travellers, it’s important to respect local customs and traditions, and as stoners, It’s equally important to be aware of all the local laws and regulations because even if the property owners are 420 friendly, it doesn’t mean that the authorities will be.

As expected, most of the American cities listed are in the country’s more cannabis-friendly states, and it’s no surprise that Uruguay’s on there because it was the first country to legalize cannabis. But with Canada about to legalize cannabis next month, you can bet that the number of cannabis-friendly rentals is set to explode across the Great White North.

It should be noted that each location has their own “house rules”, so be sure to read those carefully to respect the place that you’re staying in. For example, some places may be cannabis-friendly indoors and outdoors, whereas some only allow cannabis smoking outdoors on the patio or balcony.

So if you’re looking for some travel ideas, take a look through the available offerings and see if Bud and Breakfast has the right spot for you.
