It is important to note that each province has different regulations on Cannabis and therefore delivery options are limited by your location. Also, keep in mind, things are changing quickly during this time. Nonetheless, let’s get started!
Cannabis delivery in British Columbia
If you are quarantining in beautiful British Columbia, you may order your Cannabis from the provincially-run retailer, BC Cannabis Stores. Products will be shipped via Canada Post. Delivery is offered for an $8 flat fee and those located in Lower Mainland, Sidney, and Victoria can enjoy two-day delivery while shipping to other areas may take three to seven days for the same price.
Update – BC Cannabis Stores have reduced the shipping fee from $8 to $6. Customers ordering from BC Cannabis Stores online will be required to collect their orders from a post office location once they receive a notice card indicating where they can pick up their items.
Cannabis delivery in Alberta
In Alberta, private cannabis retailers are not permitted to deliver cannabis, but not to worry, you can order directly from the crown-run corporation. Alberta Cannabis is the only place Albertans can order Cannabis for delivery. Shipping is then provided by either Canada Post or Purolator at a flat cost of $4.95 per order. Shipment time will vary depending on your location and is subject to delays due to COVID-19.
5 Buds offers home delivery across the province. Orders placed before noon may be eligible for same-day delivery. Expect deliveries between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:30 am to noon on Saturdays.
Prairie Cannabisoffers same-day deliveries in Prince Albert and the surrounding areas between 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Shipping across Saskatchewan is also available via Canada Post and orders placed before 2:30 p.m. should arrive within three business days.
Living Skies Cannabisis a Saskatoon store that offers same-day delivery locally. Orders placed by 12:15 p.m. are eligible for delivery between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., while orders placed by 5:15 p.m. will arrive between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The Green Box Cannabisserves all of Saskatchewan with its options to order online or by phone for delivery. Local orders are also eligible for same-day delivery. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
Delta9’s website offers rush delivery in Winnipeg (two hours or less) for $11.25, as well as same-day delivery scheduled throughout the day for $9, and Manitoba-wide Canada Post shipping (1-3 days) for $7.99. On-demand delivery is also available via Super Anytime.
Garden Varietywill deliver Cannabis using Super Anytime or via their website directly and here you can choose your shipping option from Pineapple Express Delivery, Canada Post, or Purolator.
Meta Cannabis offers same-day express delivery in Winnipeg through Pineapple Express. Shipping is also offered via Purolator and is calculated at checkout.
In response to COVID-19 precautions, Tweed and Tokoyo-Smoke locations in Manitoba are closed. However, you can still order their products for delivery through e-commerce platforms.
Cannabis delivery in Ontario
For those Quarantining in Ontario, your Cannabis delivery options are through the provincial-run OntarioCannabis Store (OCS). The OCS is graciously waiving shipping charges during this pandemic. Please note there are currently 2 options for Cannabis delivery.
Direct-to-door express courier (free) to those living in select postal codes in Southern Ontario ( Hamilton, Waterloo Region, Guelph, Brantford, Georgetown, Aurora, Newmarket, Waterdown, and the greater Toronto area). There is also a delivery window from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Pick-up at a post office (free) with 5-10 day delivery.
Quebec has the Société Québécoise du Cannabis, aka the SQDC website to order Cannabis legally. The website is in French (naturally) so if you read English, you will need to change it over in the top left corner. Cannabis ordered here costs a flat delivery rate of $5 which is pretty dang good! Unfortunately, orders are not delivered on the same day as they are ordered, or maybe not the next day either. Canada Post handles the deliveries for Cannabis in Quebec, to it could take 1-3 business days.
Cannabis delivery in Nova Scotia
The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) website is where Cannabis orders can be placed for delivery. For a flat fee of $7, your Cannabis delivery will be sent via Canada Post. Which, by the way, may take 2-3 business days. When using the NSLC website, in order to unlock the Cannabis tab it says, “you must visit an NSLC store with valid identification to confirm you are 19 years of age or more to receive an online access code.” If you need to go to an NSLC store and grab a code, here is a locator to find the one nearest to you.
Cannabis delivery in New Brunswick
Over in New Brunswick, Cannabis deliveries can be order for an additional fee of $7 through the provincially-run retailer Cannabis NB. Through their website, you can also order any “accessories” you may need such as lighters, rolling papers, pipes, and more! Any orders sent in before 2:30 pm will be prepared for delivery the following day. If you can’t wait, they also offer an “express service” which involves a pre-paid in-store pick-up! For no additional cost, this option takes about an hour, and then you will receive a “Ready for Pick Up” email.
Cannabis delivery in PEI
In Prince Edward Island, Cannabis orders can be made via PEI Cannabis for an additional fee of $7 (plus tax). Deliveries to any address in PEI are said to take up to 2 business days. You can also purchase any of your Cannabis accessories here such as pipes, papers, and filters.
Cannabis delivery in Newfoundland and Labrador
On the East Coast of Canada, options for Cannabis delivery during COVID-19 in Newfoundland has made through Cannabis NL. Although you are ordering from the provincial-run website, shipments are actually processed and filled by the Licensed Producers themselves. With this being said, the delivery times and costs may vary. Warning: If you order from multiple licensed producers, you may incur multiple shipping fees and products may ship separately. In some cases, the orders have been reported to take up to 7 daysto be fulfilled, prior to shipping. The shipping is commonly done via Canada Post and is estimated to cost $15 as an expedited parcel (5-9 days shipping).
