Interview: Mark Klokeid of the Kush Cup

In this video, CinC Founding Director Jason Wilcox sits down with the Kush Cup‘s Mark Klokeid (and his sidekick Anthony) for a  Mark was diagnosed with cancer in 2003 and told the outlook was not good. Twelve years and a bone marrow transplant later, he’s still going strong, federally licensed to grow and a big supporter of our cause.

Known as THEWEEDGUY, Mark took his suffering and recovery and turned it into a cause. He travels and shares while producing “entertaining educational videos about the normalization of cannabis.” Mark is as fun as he is informed and informative, and works hard to spread the word of medical cannabis’ virtues while reducing the stigma that surrounds the plant.

Mark’s story is indicative of the need for the end to prohibition, but also a celebration of our amazing community. Medical cannabis growers and users are survivors in every sense of the word. They remind us that we will not be silenced, and that our fight will be won.

The Kush Cup is a cannabis competition and celebration that will see its fourth incarnation held July 10-12 in Vancouver. None other than the Trailer Park Boys will host the event. More information may be found here.
