Kitchener, Ontario is the newest location for a Canadian Cannabis Clinics’ (CCC) clinic. Like the other licensed producer (LP) clinics in the country, there will be no cannabis sold on site. Director Ronan Levy said, “We’re just a doctor’s office.”
Levy admitted that patients who use the clinic must first try pharmaceuticals, adding, “We want to see that you actually tried conventional treatment options before you come to us for cannabis.”
The Kitchener clinic is expected to have 1,500 to 2,000 patients. Currently, the CCC oversees about 4,000 patients around Ontario. This will be the seventh location for the organization, after opening their first clinic in St. Catharines a year ago. They also have locations in Toronto, Etobicoke, London, Windsor, and Ottawa.
