TheraCann terminates agreement with Maple Leaf Green World

CALGARY, June 2, 2017 /CNW/ – TheraCann International Benchmark Corporation, a leading full service international cannabis consultancy (“the Company”), has announced today that as of May 29th, 2017, they have terminated their consulting agreement with Maple Leaf Green World Inc. (TSXV: MGW).

This was due to a material breach of contract, and Maple Leaf was served with notice of breach on May 19th, 2017 and had until May 25th to fix the situation.

The terminated agreement included a full review of Maple Leaf’s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes (ACMPR) application, site suitability audits, cultivation strategies, and project security overview.

The company has stated that Maple Leaf Green World Inc. has not operated in good faith and has failed to fulfill their obligations including but not limited to:

  • utilizing the Company’s reputation to raise capital without employing TheraCann’s services
  • misleading Company representatives with regards to their ACMPR application,
  • failure to remunerate the Company for services rendered

TheraCann will be pursuing any and all remedies to negotiate this material contract breach by Maple Leaf Green World and will continue until the Company deems a suitable resolution is achieved.
