The Cannabis Rights Coalition Extract Express bus rolled through Ontario‘s Golden Horseshoe in August, hosting advocates in support of their access to medicinal cannabis. During the trip, the Coalition networked, educated and empowered membership as they continued to grow and expand their mandate.
The journey began August 25, with riders boarding the bus at the Rockpile in Etobicoke where they departed at noon to reach their first stop at the Cannalistic Centre in Scarborough then on to Puff Dogs Vapour Lounge in St. Catherines and Club Stigma in Brantford before finally returning to the Rockpile.
Cannabis Rights Coalition director Justin Loizos said the “high-flying adventure” was the third in a series of successful Extract Express trips that aimed to raise awareness around the serious problems in Health Canada‘s cannabis policies, the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations.
“The extract express I think has been a great idea,” said author and show host Matt Mernagh. “That’s what cannabis culture is about and that that’s why we have Internet shows and Youtube videos – to encourage people in smaller communities to overthrow the government, and it’s happening here in Ontario.”
Among those that took the day trip to show their support for cannabis rights were Brother Scott and Brother Brad from the Beard Brothers Society, who expressed how pleased they were with the warm welcome for the tour and support for the Extract Express.
“We have all this canna family here coming together doing what we believe in is right and that’s standing up for what we believe in is medicine,” said Brother Scott
The Cannabis Rights Coalition has almost 7,000 members across Canada, actively working to prevent cannabis regulations coming into force.
The Coalition is currently raising funds to take on the government’s MMPR regulations until fair and reasonable access is assured for patients.
