S&M Sweet Shoppe Couple Charged With Trafficking

A Sechelt couple, who had their edibles business raided by RCMP in November of last year have now been charged with trafficking.

Michelle and Doug Sikora, owners of S&M Sweet Shoppe, specialize in the production of cannabis edibles, teas, tinctures and oils and were arrested after selling their products to an undercover officer.

Over several visits, the officer bought 23 infused candies and four infused teabags without a prescription.

The Sunshine Coast RCMP seized about $100,000 worth of product and related materials.

The Sikoras were only recently able to regain possession of their vehicle, with instruction to remove S&M Sweet Shoppe advertising from the van, but are still trying to get back their cell phone, computer and other items from authorities.

Michelle said she plans to represent herself and Doug when they return to court Mar. 30 to face the charges.
