Here at Cannabis Life Network, we have decided to try a new segment called, “Our favourite strains of the week” and as you can see, this week is Blue Dream and Gelato!
There are hundreds of different cannabis strains out there; more and more coming out all of the time. Growers and researchers are constantly discovering new strains as they experiment with cannabis cultivation.
We are all about these two strains because they are perfect to enjoy in the Summer. If you are looking for a strain that will mellow you out and keep you smiling, Blue Dream and Gelato are for you!
Gelato Cannabis Strain
Our top pick for the week is Gelato a.k.a. Larry Bird. This is a 45% Sativa and 55% Indica hybrid strain known for its effects to chill you out. Maybe that’s why it is named after a frozen treat? The flavor is sweet too. Despite being more of an Indica, this strain will keep you alert. Gelato is derived from the parent strains Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and Sherbert.
It has since been used to create two other strains (children), the Yolo Berry and Dolce Gelato.
Smokers who enjoy Gelato experience very happy, euphoric, and calming feelings. We recommend this strain to anyone who is looking for a little pick-me-up on a nice sunny day. The average THC content is 17% which is not too potent. But, proceed with caution as it is known to pack a punch!
Blue Dream
Next, we chose the Blue Dream a.k.a. Azure Haze as a favourite strain of the week. This is a lovely Sativa-dominant hybrid cannabis strain. Don’t let the name fool you! You will not be groggy or lost in daydreams as it is a Sativa.
This is an excellent strain to boost your mood and let all worries fade away.
The parent strains of Blue dream are Haze and, of course, Blueberry. Smoking this strain will leave you with a hint of delicious blueberry taste. Blue Dream is known to have the effect of full-body relaxation with a gentle brain buzz. There is a THC content of approximately 19% which we find to be quite nice. The terpenes are mostly herbal, and pine, with a hint of pepper. It is another perfect daytime strain to enjoy as you should not feel sedated. Blue Dream can also be used medically and is ideal for people who suffer from chronic fatigue, depression, and lack of appetite.
