Chef Cody Lindsay, aka The Wellness Soldier, is back with his 3rd annual Veterans Dinner, a 3-course meal taking place on Oct. 30th at the Artisan Bistro in Victoria, BC. Even better, it’s free for Canadian Veterans! It’s just under a week away and seats are filling up fast- there’s a limited 50 seats available for Canadian Veterans so if you’re a Canadian Vet make sure to get your ticket before it’s too late!
If you are a Canadian Veteran who wishes to attend, simply reach out by email at thewellnesssoldier@gmail.com. For the dinner menu, event start time, venue address and other information, please click here.
The Veterans Dinner is billed as “a night of getting out, being around others Vets, and forgetting any troubles you have, even if it’s just one night”, and not only will you get a delicious dinner, the night will be packed with speakers, raffles, and its famous give-away bags at the end.
The Veterans Dinner is a night for coming together and supporting each other, and the speakers will come from the cannabis, Veteran, and health and wellness communities- sometimes all three- and they’ll tell you how they changed their lives for the better and hopefully inspire you to do the same.
Chef Cody created the Veterans Dinner to help other Canadian Veterans have a free night out with other Veterans. It’s a cause close to his heart as a Veteran himself- he served in the Canadian Military for 7 years and 2 tours. The full story of his military service can be found here.
Chef Cody is also a medical cannabis advocate and patient who sought out medical cannabis not only because it worked better for his symptoms, he wanted to avoid pharmaceuticals. Now he wants to help other Veterans do the same, so a clinic sponsor will also be on hand at the Veterans Dinner to help patients learn how to obtain a Veteran Affairs Canada approved cannabis prescription.
If you or your company is interested in sponsoring a Veteran, it’s a great way to get some advertising and recognition in the Veteran, cannabis, and health and wellness communities through The Wellness Soldier’s social media and blog posts. Your company will also be showcased in the give-away bags that every guest receives at the end of the night.
