Highlights from Glenn Price Fundraiser

The Winnipeg cannabis community came together to support Glenn Price at a legal fundraiser for the dispensary owner, Oct. 9.

Price has been battling the courts after his dispensary Your Medical Cannabis Headquarters was raided in August.

While Price is still offering advice, the dispensary remains closed, leaving more than 700 patients without a secure source of medicinal cannabis.

The fundraiser featured three bands performing at Winnipeg’s historic Windsor Hotel and T-shirts for sale, with all proceeds going toward Price’s court battle.

In attendance at the fundraiser was The Human Solution International, a grassroots civil rights organization that has assisted patients in need of cannabis for their illness or disability. The group distributed green ribbons with a red cross to symbolize solidarity with those fighting for medical cannabis.

Also in attendance was Green Party Candidate Steven Stairs with his wife Kristen Aldrich, Mike Mailman from Mailman Pharms and others, who showed their support for medical cannabis.

Glenn Price’s next court hearing is set to take place Oct. 15 at 1pm. Supporters have organized to attend the hearing and urge the community to be there, as well.
