New Music Friday: Bbno$, Bebe Rexha, Anderson .Paak and Tchami

Welcome back to another edition of New Music Fridays. We have some big names releasing music with a blend of club bangers and funky smooth tracks. This week we feature Bbno$, Bebe Rexha, Anderson .Paak and Tchami.

Bbno$ – Admit it (feat. TrippyThaKid)

Bbno$ comes back with his signature bouncy beat over a track produced by Lentra, the secret behind Bbno$’s slapping tunes. The beat features janky instrumentals with a big driving 808s which compliments Bbno$’s moody vocal style. The feature, TrippyThaKid, also comes in swinging on this track with his multi-styled skills coming in with a very aggressive flow that is broken halfway with a laid back, chill verse.

Bebe Rexha – Baby I’m Jealous (feat. Doja Cat)

R&B superstar Bebe Rexha pairs with pop princess Doja Cat on this new wave song. The track features a groovy bassline layered with a hard-hitting pluck synth, giving the beat a lot of character. The two narrate the struggles of dealing with the anxiety of not being good enough for their man, resulting in lines that are both relatable and catchy.

Anderson .Paak – JEWELZ

Anderson .Paak yet again revolutionizes his funky sound. On this track, he uses an uncommon vocal technique by pitching his voice up. Although not a technique that would commonly work in his style, Paak finds a way to utilize his skills to create a catchy tune. With his unique flow and identifiable funk-driven beat, you can easily tell that this was produced by the man himself.

Tchami – Praise (feat. Gunna)

A pairing that no one would have seen coming, Tchami brings out a new side to Gunna. Tchami manipulates Gunna’s auto-tune style with futuristic basses that help fill the speakers. He then comes in with his iconic future bass drop sound creating a track that would have bumped at the clubs. One can only wonder where genre-blending will go and what other unlikely collaborations may arise.

That’s a wrap for this week’s New Music Fridays. Let us know in the comments below what other new tracks we should keep our ears open for!
