THE 13TH ANNUAL EMERALD CUP AWARDS 
ANNOUNCE DETAILS FOR THE 2016 CONTEST
CONTEST SUBMISSIONS BEGIN NOVEMBER 1 AND CLOSE NOVEMBER 23 CATEGORIES INCLUDE – FLOWERS, CONCENTRATES, TOPICALS, EDIBLES, SUBLINGUALS, CBD, AND MORE!

 

Santa Rosa, CA (October 28, 2016) – The 13th annual Emerald Cup proudly announces its 2016 contest. The Emerald Cup will take place at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, CA from December 10-11, 2016. Contest entries start on Tuesday, November 1st and close Wednesday, November 23rd.

 

The Emerald Cup has grown so much in size over the past 13 years in great part due to the exponential amount of entries received each year. The event is always humbled every year to see the outpouring of interest from across the state of California to compete in The Emerald Cup. This event was started as a friendly competition to highlight the hard work of outdoor organic cannabis farmers; it has always been about celebrating the passion of California’s best cultivators, breeders, artisan hash makers, edibles creators, and topicals makers.

 

Each valid entry will receive a full spectrum test (potency, microbiological, and pesticide) from SC LABS. Included is the Terpene testing (on all flower and concentrate entries) in recognition of the extremely important role terpenes play in how we interact and are drawn towards cannabis. Also included is the microbiological and pesticide testing for every entry to ensure our judges don’t have to partake in any medicine that could possibly harm one’s health. Please note each entry is tested before being judged. Any Entry that fails for residual pesticides or excessive mold will be disqualified from judging.

● Entries received by November 23rd pay $250 Entry Fee
● Entries received after November 23rd pay $400 Entry Fee
