Toronto Police Arrest Three at Eden Medicinal Society

In the latest police action against dispensaries in the city, Toronto police announced this morning that they had made three arrests at Eden Medicinal Society (1239 Dundas Street West).

This is the second time the Eden location has been raided by police, with the location targeted in Project Claudia –  where authorities executed action against 43 stores that saw 90 arrested or a combined 257 charges.

The Toronto Police Service posted a news release to their webpage to alert the public to the arrests made in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.

“On Monday, September 26, 2016, at approximately 5 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at the Eden Medicinal Society,” the statement read. “Kiana Smith 21, of Toronto; Philip Eider 33, of Toronto; and Thomas Cobb 24, of Toronto; were arrested.”

All three have been charged with Possession Schedule II Substance, Possession of Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime

“All three are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, November 7, 2016, 9 a.m., room 114,” police wrote.
