Another Toronto Dispensary Raided by Police

Toronto police announced that they had made three arrests of two men and one woman at Potluck Apothecary & Dispensary, 101 Spadina Avenue.

“On Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at approximately 3 p.m., officers from 52 Division executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant,” a police press release stated. “Cory Feferman, 29, of Fenwick; Joseph Nguyen, 25, of Woodbridge; and Paula Roopnarine, 25, of Mississauga; are each charged with 1) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking 2) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime.”

Nguyen is additionally charged with trafficking of a schedule II substance.

This is the latest in a series of raids against the city’s booming cannabis industry, following another announced dispensary raid this week, at Better Living 222 dispensary (2791 Lake Shore Boulevard West), where another four were arrested on Wednesday.
