Entourage Health, formerly WeedMD, has announced the Saturday Cannabis brand is now available in Quebec. The release follows the Quebec launch of its Color Cannabis brand in partnership with local producer ROSE LifeScience. The release joins over ten products available in the province.
WeedMD acquires CannTx
WeedMD, known as one of the largest cannabis producers in Southwestern Ontario, acquired Guelph-based CannTx for $17.5 million last month. The acquisition, bringing the Entourage workforce to nearly 300, resulted in no job loss while maintaining the Color Cannabis and Saturday brand names. “This is strictly a change to the corporate name,” interim chief executive for Entourage George Scorsis said.
Scorsis added the new name is “symbolic of our organization.” Entourage Health is a not-so-subtle nod to the cannabis industry theory of the “entourage effect” — Various cannabis compounds combine and work together to birth novel effects.
Saturday Cannabis Brand Strains
Presently, the Saturday line features various craft strains like Sour Pineapple, Lemon Haze, and Lemon Z. Each strain is available in vape cartridges, dried flowers and pre-rolls. Saturday joins Color Cannabis’s portfolio of strains like Pedro’s Sweet Sativa, Ghost Train Haze and Mango Haze. Other brands under the Entourage umbrella include Starseed Medicinal and Mary’s Medicals Canada.
Novel entry to Quebec cannabis market
Earlier this week, Entourage Health Corp. reported a record second-quarter 2021. The company saw a revenue increase of 92 percent and a net revenue increase of 81 percent.
