Chronic Cooking: Get Baked with Banana Bread

When it comes to cannabis-infused baked goods, cookies and brownies are perhaps the most famous, but have you ever had banana bread that can get you high? Chronic Cooking host Craig Ex calls banana bread “quite possibly the best baked good there is” and it’s hard to argue with that because it’s delicious.

Everyone has their favourite recipe- maybe it’s your mom’s, your aunt’s, or your grandma’s- but the one thing we can all agree on is it’s easy to make and amazing to eat.

That’s why for the latest episode of Chronic Cooking Craig Ex is sharing his exclusive infused banana bread recipe. Your tastebuds and blazing buddies (if you’re nice enough to share!) will thank you later.

Plus, banana bread is a delicious way to use any old or overripe bananas you might have lying around so they don’t go to waste!

What you’ll need

  • 3 bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of canna butter
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of salt

Let’s get Chronic Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Lightly grease an 8.5 inch bread pan

In a large bowl:

  • Combine 1/2 cup of canna butter and 1 cup of brown sugar
  • Beat until light and fluffy
  • Next, add 3 ripe and mashed bananas and 2 well beaten eggs
  • Beat until well mixed

In a separate bowl:

  • Combine 1.5 cups of flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, 1.2 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

Fold the mixture in with the banana mixture, but DO NOT over mix it!

  • Then, pour the mixture into the lightly greased pan and bake for 55-65 minutes
  • Check the doneness with a toothpick
  • When it’s ready, take it out the oven and cool before removing from the pan
  • Slice it up
  • Serve
  • Enjoy!
