Toronto Police Raid Eden Medicinal Society Dispensary

Toronto Police raided Eden Medicinal Society yesterday afternoon, arresting three and seizing a mix of cannabis and cash.

This is the first police action against Eden’s 1625 Bayview Avenue shop, but another location at 1239 Dundas Street West has been hit twice.

Melissa McLennan, Jaime Cortez-Granilo and Katherine Woods, all 24-years-old, were arrested and charged with   possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime, charges that have become standard from police when arresting cannabis dispensary staff.

The shop was closed Thursday, but plans to reopen when they can resupply their stock.

The three charged are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, Nov. 30.
