Chronic Cooking: Weed Brownies

Everyone loves brownies, but they can be a bit of a pain to make sometimes, especially if you’re skipping the pre-mix. In this episode of Chronic Cooking, Craig Ex aka The Expert of Expert Joints shows you his favourite brownie recipe that consists of making them the hard way- from scratch!

What you’ll need

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 3/4 of canna butter
  • 3/4 all-purpose flour
  • 4 oz. of unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp of salt

Let’s get Chronic Cooking!

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Line 8” baking pan with parchment
  • Grease baking pan with butter

In a double boiler,

  • Combine 1 cup of chocolate chips, 3/4 cup of cannabutter, and 4 oz of unsweetened chocolate
  • Boil over medium heat

In a large bowl,

  • Combine 3 large eggs plus 1 extra yolk with 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar
  • Use an electric mixer at medium to high speed until light and thick
  • Next, add 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • With a rubber spatula, gently mix in the cooled chocolate mixture
  • Carefully fold in 3/4 cup of flour and a 1/4 tsp of salt
  • Do NOT over mix!
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan
  • Bake for 35-40 min
  • Do not overbake them! Check in on them at around 25 min
  • Test doneness with a toothpick. A few moist crumbs should be attached
  • Remove from the oven and let cool

Frost your brownies

  • 1 cup of icing sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp canna butter
  • 1 tbsp infused honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

In a bowl,

  • Combine 3 tbsp of cannabutter, 3 tbsp of cocoa powder, 1 tbsp of infused honey, 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 cup of icing sugar
  • Beat until smooth
  • Spread the frosting on the brownies
  • Cut and serve
  • Enjoy!
